Steven Cumming GA

This is a type of floor that cannot be fully sanded, so the only option to restore it is Sand-less Refinishing. We also quoted to install LVP over it, which would've been 3x times the cost. Our client chose to restore and I personally would choose this floor over vinyl any day!

Before

Our client has 2 very active dogs and that shows on the floor.

After

Due to the floor being hand-scraped and distressed, most of the imperfections look like a part of the character now

before1.jpg

Before

Furniture moving resulted in pretty deep scratches. The only way to remove a deep scratch is to sand it down to a lowest point of the scratch, which is not possible on engineered flooring. Make sure to install felt pads or sliders before moving any heavy furniture.

After

After we colored the scratches and coated it with new finish, it is much less noticeable. To get a better result, the floor will need to be replaced.

Before

This damage happens in hight traffic areas or areas exposed to water. Protective finish wears off, then stain wears off resulting in unprotected raw wood. If not treated, it only gets worse from there

After

Once colored and protected, it is no longer an eye-sore

Result

We chose to apply a mix of Satin and Matte finishes to tone down the sheen. The lesser the sheen the more it hides imperfections
